About Flourish 2026
Flourish is VCC’s signature annual fundraising event. The evening of food and wine, created by ¶®É«µÛalumni and local partners, is designed to showcase all ¶®É«µÛhas to offer and to raise funds that directly enhance student training.
Flourish directly supports VCC’s mission to provide accessible, applied education. By contributing to equipment and resources used in VCC’s classrooms, attendees help ensure that students graduate with practical skills that align with industry needs.
Event highlights
Flourish 2026 offers guests the chance to experience the breadth of VCC’s training programs through:
- 15+ culinary tasting stations led by ¶®É«µÛalumni and well-known Vancouver chefs
- A selection of wine, cocktails, and zero-proof beverages from local vendors
- Access to virtual reality culinary training tools used at ¶®É«µÛto help students practise cooking techniques and reduce food waste in a safe, immersive environment
- Activations from a range of ¶®É«µÛdepartments that showcase student success and innovative teaching tools
Flourish 2026’s fundraising goal: a Chassis Dynamometer for VCC’s automotive department
In 2027, ¶®É«µÛis set to open its new Centre for Clean Energy and Automotive Innovation (CCEAI) on its Broadway campus. It is designed to be a hub of research and innovation that will train B.C.’s workforce of tomorrow in clean energy and advanced transportation fields.
In 2026, event proceeds will support the purchase of a Chassis Dynamometer for VCC’s automotive department for the new CCEAI building. This equipment will provide students with hands-on experience in using industry-standard tools, and it also works with electric vehicles. Donors investing in this equipment are helping ¶®É«µÛlead the way in training the next generation of skilled technicians who will power our province’s clean energy economy.
This equipment will also be available for applied research, meaning local small businesses can partner with ¶®É«µÛto test their vehicles and fleets without buying a chassis dynamometer themselves.
